8.  Bridge

This obstacle consists of a wooden bridge over which the horse must walk. The obstacle measures at least  3 meters long  x 1.5 meters wide.  If sides are used for the bridge, they should be at least 2 feet above the ground. The surface of the bridge must provide traction and not be slick. The bridge and sides should be made out of solid material and should not endanger either horse or rider.

 

Gait Required: 


At all levels the horse should be walking or transition to the walk at the start of the obstacle, walk over and off the bridge, then proceed at the correct gait for the level at the finish of the obstacle.

 

 

 

 

 

Obstacle is judged on : 

The attributes of the correct working horse and rider, the confidence of the walk, and the transitions before and after the completing the obstacle.
